Lifestyles Exhibit

Creek Indian life during the late 18th and early 19th Centuries is on display at the Lifestyles exhibit. It includes four winter homes and a trade house, where American traders exchanged cloth, irongoods, knives, muskets, ammunition, mirrors and jewelry for deer skins – which were much in demand in Europe for gloves and book covers. Native American farming exhibits are also frequently displayed, as are less substantial summer dwellings.
