David Hastie Nature Trail
The most beautiful feature of the park is the Davida Hastie (pronounced Da-vee-da Hasty) Nature Trail – dedicated as a living remembrance of the life and times of local Baldwin County historian, Mrs. Davida R. Hastie. The trail stretches more than two miles and takes you into the delta. It
is gorgeous any time of the year but especially in the Spring and Fall. The trail can overwhelm you in the Summer – who knew there were that many varieties of green – and contains flora, fauna and wetlands indigenous to Baldwin County. The trail places walkers at arm’s length from the beauty of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta.
Due to the length of the trail, visitors are advised to begin their walks no later than 2:00 p.m. Monday – Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
